Our 'Impact of Gaming and Tablets on Young People’s Mental Health' workshop is an insightful and balanced exploration of how digital technology affects children’s and teenagers’ emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and development. Designed for parents, caregivers, teachers, and professionals working with young people, this workshop delves beyond the headlines to explore what current research reveals about screen use, gaming culture, and online engagement—and how these experiences impact mental health, relationships, and self-esteem.


Led by counsellors and child wellbeing specialists, the session examines both the potential benefits and risks of gaming and screen-based interaction. We explore why digital spaces can feel so powerful and rewarding for young people, while also addressing the challenges of dependency, social withdrawal, anxiety, sleep disruption, and emotional regulation.
